We Are All Made of Star Dust - We Are All One

Are you "depressed?" Feeling "less than?" Worried about paying your bills? Is life getting you down? Maybe it's time to face who you really are, and who you really are is a miraculous formation of star dust, living, breathing and interacting with other miraculous formations of star dust. It's true. Science tells us that 93% of the mass in our bodies is star dust.
So often we view life through massive, limiting blinders. We think we are alone. It's us against the universe. Well, wake up my friend, because you ARE the universe, and science has proven that fact. Every element in the periodic table, aside from hydrogen, is essentially star dust. The simple equation looks like this: (human body mass - hydrogen) = 93% star dust.
Next time you look up at the night sky, know that you are looking at the power and raw materials that made you. You are a star. We are all stars.
The Most Astounding Fact - Neil DeGrasse Tyson
Here it is in plain English, in Neil DeGrasse Tyson's own words, we are all made of star dust:
Transcript:
"The most astounding fact is the knowledge that the atoms that comprise life on Earth, the atoms that make up the human body, are traceable to the crucibles that cooked light elements into heavy elements in their core, under extreme temperatures and pressures.
These stars, the high-mass ones among them, went unstable in their later years. They collapsed and then exploded, scattering their enriched guts across the galaxy. Guts made of carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and all the fundamental ingredients of life itself.
These ingredients become part of gas clouds that condense, collapse, form the next generation of solar systems - stars with orbiting planets. And those planets now have the ingredients for life itself.
So that when I look up at the night sky, and I know that yes, we are a part of this universe, we are in this universe, but perhapse more important than both of those facts, is that the universe is in us.
When I reflect on that fact, I look up - many people feel small because they are small and the universe is big - but I feel big, because my atoms came from those stars. There is a level of connectivity.
That's really what you want in life. You want to feel connected, you want to feel relevant, you want to feel like you are a participant in the goings on of activities and events around you. That's precisely what we are, just by being alive." ~ Neil DeGrasse Tyson

We are always greater than we
We are always greater than we think we are. Love the message :)
yeah, I think sometimes we
yeah, I think sometimes we get in a rut and our perspective on ourselves gets way too limited.
I think this Richard Dawkins video is also a good reminder of how lucky we are just to be alive. The odds of our even having been born are crazy low.
We need to live our lives always remembering the incredible gifts they are.
